May 14, 2024–Four CSISD track and field athletes competed at the 2024 UIL Class 5A Track & Field Championships May 2-4 at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin.
College Station High School junior Layni Kaase brought home bronze medals in the Class 5A girls’ 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.
College Station High School junior Layni Kaase led the way for CSISD earning bronze medals in the 100-meter hurdles (14.10) and 300-meter hurdles (43.46). She also competed in the triple jump (7th, 37-8.25), and high jump (9th, 5-0.00), making her the only 5A athlete to qualify for four individual events.

A&M Consolidated High School freshman Hayden Helms placed seventh in the 800-meter run at the UIL Class 5A Track & Field Championships, making her the only freshman to compete in the event.

College Station High School senior Delaney Ulrich placed seventh in the 3200-meter run and eighth in the 1600-meter run at the UIL Class 5A Track & Field Championships.
