Feb. 28, 2024–College Station ISD is set to host its inaugural Little Olympics event at A&M Consolidated High School’s Tiger Stadium on May 8. This event invites the CSISD community to join elementary students as they showcase their athleticism in a series of track and field competitions.
With the generous support from the College Station ISD Education Foundation, CSISD first- through fourth- grade students will compete in a variety of events including a 400-meter relay, 50-yard dash, 200- and 400-meter dashes, and a distance run. Additionally, the CSISD community is invited to join in on the festivities with an 800-meter fun run.
The event will close with an awards ceremony to shine the spotlight on the outstanding talents of the top competitors.
"We're absolutely thrilled to bring this event to our elementary school students and the entire CSISD community,” said Megan Symank, assistant athletic director. “With the unwavering support of our elementary school PE teachers, dedicated middle and high school coaches, and the invaluable grant from the CSISD Education Foundation, this is set to be an unforgettable day!"
