Areas For Improvement

  • Examine K-6 reading indicators where overall performance is acceptable or lower, and determine if specific student groups or campuses need additional support in accelerating acquisition of reading skills.
  • Evaluate efficacy of writing instruction and determine ways to better support the development and acquisition of writing skills.
  • Explore formative assessment options to provide teachers more timely feedback about learners' achievement, which will inform instructional decisions to meet students' needs.
