CSISD is experiencing tremendous growth.
College Station ISD is currently one of the state's 100 fastest growing school districts in terms of enrollment, and as such, is part of the Texas Fast-Growth School Coalition.
Dating back to 1993, CSISD's enrollment has more than doubled, going from 6,150 to 12,541 in 2014-2015.
From the 1993-1994 to the 2012-2013 school year, CSISD averaged an annual growth rate of 3.12% and gained an average of 256 students per year during that 19-year span.
However, CSISD's enrollment has sky-rocketed the last two years - adding 1,519 students. The growth rates the last two years have been 6.27% and 7.01%, respectively.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAPACITY
Currently, CSISD has nine elementary schools (PreK - 4th Grade) with a functional capacity of 5,800 students. Projections show CSISD elementary schools will be above capacity by the 2016-2017 school year. If the 2015 bond package passes, elementary school no. 10 would open in 2018, increasing the capacity at CSISD elementary schools to 6,460. By the 2018-19 school year CSISD is expected to have 6,220 elementary school students - 420 over capacity

INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CAPACITY
With a total functional capacity of 1,960 combined students at Oakwood Intermediate and Cypress Grove Intermediate, CSISD will be pushing capacity at the intermediate level in the 2015-2016 school year, with a projected 1,920 students.
Oakwood Intermediate School will have four portable classrooms beginning with the 2015-16 school year. When Intermediate No. 3 opens for the 2017-18 school year, districtwide intermediate enrollment is expected to be 2,070 -- 110 students over capacity.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAPACITY
With a total functional capacity of 2,000 combined students at A&M Consolidated Middle and College Station Middle, CSISD is expected to surpass its capacity at the seventh and eighth grade levels by the time middle school No. 3 would open in 2018-19.
CSISD is projected to have 1,830 students at the middle school level in the 2015-16 school year. A&M Consolidated Middle School will have four portable classrooms beginning with the 2015-16 school year. When Middle School No. 3 opens for the 2018-19 school year, districtwide middle school enrollment is expected to be 2,070 -- 70 students over capacity.

HIGH SCHOOL CAPACITY
With the addition of College Station High School, the high school functional capacity was increased to 4,250 students. With a current enrollment of approximately 3,525 students there should not be a need for another high school for several years.
