This is the first year of the new letter grade system for school districts. Individual campuses will begin receiving letter grades next year.
"In CSISD we have long believed the state accountability system measures only a small part of the many aspects of a successful school system and the assignment of a letter grade oversimplifies the true picture of student performance," CSISD Superintendent Dr. Clark Ealy stated. "That being said we can use some of the information in the accountability system, along with other metrics we collect throughout the year, to identify areas where we need to improve."
In addition to the "B" rating, CSISD received a letter grade in the three domains used to determine the overall rating. In the domain measuring student achievement, CSISD received an "A" grade, while receiving "Bs" in school progress and closing the gaps.
