Feb. 12, 2024–Cypress Grove Intermediate School sixth-grade student Hayden DeVries is recognized for her leadership in and out of school and for her musical talent.

Accomplishments: Hayden is the only oboe player at Cypress Grove. She represented Cypress Grove at our CSISD kickoff in August. She is a member of Student Council and helps lead the Cypress Grove Girls Club where she represents leadership for letter the “G,” which stands for “gorgeous” (how you look, feel, and personality inside and out).
Outside of school, Hayden earned the bronze award from Girl Scouts for building a campsite.

Who do you look up to the most?: “My mom and dad because they help me learn, figure things out, and the reason I got into girl scouts.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?: “I want to be a science teacher or a pop singer. My brother and I turned our treehouse into a science lab.”
What are three things you can’t live without?: “My favorite stuff animal, Dude; my 8 year old brother, Zach; and my glasses.”
