The marching bands for A&M Consolidated and College Station High Schools each placed higher in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Marching Band contest than ever before.
The Cougar Band made the area finals, placing fifth overall, while the Tiger Band just missed the finals, finishing ninth overall.

The 2019 marching band season officially began with practices starting in late July.
Directors Jon Seale (CSHS) and Steve Fry (AMCHS) echoed their gratitude for the hard work of the students and the support of the parents, staff and community as a whole.
To qualify for the Area contest, both bands received the highest possible marks from all judges at the regional contest on October 19.
Prior to the UIL contests, the bands each had tremendous success at other contests and showcases.
