Dear CSISD Community,
As we reach the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year, I want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. In my first year as superintendent in CSISD, I have had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable accomplishments of our students, the passion and dedication of our esteemed staff, and the unwavering support and involvement of our parents and community. I am truly grateful to be a part of this incredible school district.
Over the next two days, we will celebrate more than 900 graduates at commencement ceremonies. I’m looking forward to personally congratulating each of them as they take the first step into the next chapter of their lives.
As I mentioned, this year was full of student achievements and noteworthy moments; here are a few highlights:
11 seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists and 17 others were designated as College Board Commended Scholars.
Students excelled at state competitions in academics, athletics, fine arts and CTE.
The CSISD Education Foundation provided $325,000 in grants to teachers and $193,100 in scholarships to graduating seniors.
Voters in College Station ISD approved two bond propositions in November and two propositions in May, providing resources, renovations and additions for our schools and facilities.
This memorable school year wouldn't have been possible without the steadfast support of CSISD staff, parents, and community members. Thank you for being an integral part of our school community.
I hope you take time to rest, recharge and enjoy quality moments with family and friends over the next few months. Stay tuned for updates and information this summer as we prepare for another great school year.
Sincerely,
Tim Harkrider, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
