March 22, 2024–Four athletes from College Station High School qualified for the 2024 Texas High School Powerlifting Association (THSPA) State Championships following the Division I Region II-5A Championships held at Joshua High School on March 9.
The Cougar boys’ powerlifting team placed eighth at the regional meet with seniors John Tan and Harper Hall placing second, and senior Malik Cotton placing third in their respective weight class. A&M Consolidated High School finished their season at the regional contest, with several lifters achieving personal records in competition lifts.
The following athletes will represent CSISD at the 2024 THSPA State Championships to be held at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene on March 22-23:
