HS Summer School Guidelines

Hybrid Attendance

Our online summer school curriculum requires a student to be self-motivated, driven, and dedicated in order to be successful. Students who enrolled in an online course must submit all projects by the assigned dates, if not earlier.  Online progress will be monitored on a daily basis.  Students who are not making adequate progress, may be required to meet with the teacher on-site for assigned day sessions. ** Online Students are required to complete unit exams on campus either in class or during the Wednesday afternoon open proctor at College View High School.

Hybrid Summer School Rules

1. Students caught cheating or plagiarizing will receive a zero on their module at the first occurrence. On the second occurrence, the student will be dismissed from summer school without refund.  If you need more information on what constitutes plagiarism, please review this resource

2. Students must have a passing grade average to take the final exam for the semester course.

3. Students who log into a course will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Students not making adequate progress will have a virtual conference with the teacher and a phone call will be made to parents.

5. On the final day of summer school, Wednesday, June 28th, students will only be allowed to take final exams.

6. Students will not be permitted to take the final exam unless they have successfully completed all assignments for the course.

In Person Attendance

Summer school attendance is critical for student success.  Due to the self-paced nature of the curriculum, students with poor attendance may be in jeopardy of not being able to complete a course.  Therefore, our attendance policy requires a student NOT to accumulate more than 3 unexcused absences.  Students who exceed 3 absences without PRIOR notification, will be dropped from summer school and will not be eligible for a refund.

We recognize that the summer is a very busy time for our students and we will excuse most absences so long as they are within reason and we are provided prior documentation.  To provide documentation, please email Chad Bronowski [email protected]
